Bellfield’s mix of young families and long-time locals means we often teach several people from the same house. Little ones from 4½ start in Ninja Stars, primary school kids move into Samurai Warriors at 8, and teenagers train in Junior Adults from 11. Parents can train at the same time in Adults Martial Arts or Fitness Kickboxing, so one trip covers the whole family.
What makes our martial arts different
- Self defence first: escapes, throws, safe falling and control techniques, not points or trophies.
- Kids Life Skills: confidence, respect, focus and listening skills built into every kids class, from a programme written by Dr Warren Guest.
- Free gradings: no grading fees, ever, and students move up at their own pace.
- Room to move: 700m² of mats, so classes never feel crowded.
After a sporty Bellfield weekend
Plenty of Bellfield kids play cricket at Ford Park or kick a ball at Liberty Park Reserve. Martial arts complements those sports nicely: balance, coordination, falling safely and confidence carry straight across. Our Saturday kids classes run from 9am, so they fit around weekend games.

This club/dojo has one of, if not the best children's program. Their curriculum has been meticulously developed to ensure your child cultivates values you would find in a traditional dojo, all the while holding on to the reality of current times.
— Andrew S.
From the very first lesson, Guests martial arts was a winner. Friendly and knowledgeable instructors with many years of experience, and a timetable packed with classes to suit anyone's preferences.
— Steven G.
My 2 youngest children attend twice a week and have a ball, not only do they learn a martial art, but their confidence has gone through the roof, they are doing hand stands, cart wheels and rolling confidently.
— Gavin B.
I'm only a few weeks in, and already feel like I'm learning heaps. … I'm sleeping better, I'm more focussed at work and in a better mood in general.
