HIIT Classes in Melbourne

High-intensity kickboxing intervals, 8 classes a week

HIIT That Doesn’t Feel Like a Chore

Our HIIT classes use kickboxing as the engine. Instead of burpees on repeat, you work in timed rounds on pads and bags: hard bursts of punching and kicking, short recoveries, then go again. It’s high-intensity interval training that’s fun, skill-based and over before you know it.

Classes run as part of our Fitness Kickboxing programme at 272 Dundas St, Thornbury: 45 minutes, non-contact, and open to all fitness levels.

Free trial: 4 free classes plus a brand new pair of boxing gloves to keep. Book your trial.

Been doing Fitness Kickboxing here for about 3 years. Cannot recommend GMA enough! The classes are always varied and fun, and the instructors are amazing and always put their own spin on classes, so you are learning something new with every class.

— Mary F.

Why Kickboxing Makes Great HIIT

  • Whole-body intervals: boxing rounds work the upper body, kicking rounds work the legs and hips, and every strike drives the core.
  • Your intensity, your pace: hit harder and faster to push yourself, or ease off when you need to. Beginners and fit people train in the same class.
  • Your mind stays busy: learning combinations keeps you focused, so the time flies.
  • Low-impact options: instructors can adjust kicks and drills if you have sore knees or are coming back from a break.

What a HIIT Class Looks Like

  • Warm-up: mobility and light cardio.
  • Work rounds: timed boxing and kicking intervals on pads and bags.
  • Conditioning finisher: short bodyweight and core intervals.
  • Cool-down: stretching to finish.

The Kickboxing exercise classes are awesome. Great instructors. Pounding away on the high-quality punch/kick bags pushes my cardio fitness, tones my aging body, allows me to deal with the stresses of the day.

I do the adults class too, and we also both do the Kickboxing. As an older woman this is exactly the kind of exercise I need to keep my bones and my muscles strong.
